Magic Bookmark now works with audiobooks: what changed?

What exactly changed in 1.1.1?

Until this update, the app found your place in a book from a photo of the page or a typed page number, which assumed you were holding print or an ebook. Audiobooks have no page. Version 1.1.1 adds a way in for listeners: you type the last phrase you heard and the app syncs to that point, then shows the same recap, cast list and spoiler-free answers as for print.

That matters because listening is how many ADHD readers get through books at all, on walks, commutes or while doing chores. It is also where the story slips most easily: you cannot flip back a page to check a name.

What came before: the version history so far

What does it mean for ADHD listeners?

• You can come back to an audiobook after a gap and get a recap that stops where you stopped listening.
• The cast list helps with the hardest part of audio: names you heard once and cannot look up.
• It works with an audiobook from any source, including a library loan, because it does not play the audio itself.
• Same limits as before: supported titles only, iPhone only, English only, paid per book after the first.

Does this change its listing on our site?

No change to its score or verdict. Magic Bookmark stays a provisional desk review with a partial score and a TRIAL FIRST verdict until we time it on our bench. Our Magic Bookmark page and the desk review list audiobooks among its formats.
